you= "oh my god, i thought he had grown out of this stage..."
me= "MWAHAHAHHA!!" i fucking love this game. resident evil one, the remake for gamecube. Gosh, what a perfect game. Everything about it... before all the sequles and anime bs came out, resident evil was SUCH an awosme game. well, that is to say, i like resident evil four.... and zero was pretty cool..... but the plots became worse and worse. and the characters became more and more unrealistic. Just.... just pure and simple; resident evil 1, the gamecube version. KICK ASS.

now come on, gimme a break.... its been a long time since a did any fanart....

i like the perspective. i also like how even though there isnt a lot of refined detail, its just enough to get the tone across. lovely. ^.^

Thanks, man. In all my drawn pieces, as opposed to painted, i try to make an attempt to create a highly gestured quality about it; quick, intentional lines, suggesting motion, or in this case, feeling. a fear of death, using meathods from impressionism, suggesting the eye moving all around, not stopping to focus on anything in particular.

absa-friggin-loutley. dude, i never was able to play through so fast to get that friggin launcher.... ive tried so many times, but GAAH.... you have to do it SO fast. i always get caught up in the scenery, and have to like... stop playing, so i can look at the background all the time. which fucks me over haha.

yeah, my favorite artist of all time; John Singer Sargent. Great friggin portaiture paintings, but they have the same idea-- getting a point across with the least amount of refined, painstaking detail.... mostly large, impasto implied strokes that suggest fabric. So im just utilizing that with charcoal.

I love that feeling. When you finish a piece and look at it and it's almost like you can't even put your finger on why you like it so much. In most cases for me it happens when I'm just doodling and messing around because it's so relaxed and natural. I really see that being the case with this piece. You knew what the feeling was and you didn't try overly hard to force a cheap version onto paper.

I feel like I'm spouting out some "use the force; it's in us; it's all around us" crap... must be late, heh.

... And I happen to be of the female persuasion.
